The South Dakota QSO Party
This event will be the last chance for you to log a SD station for your Triple Play Award before the end of the allowed participation period. Another informal (no awards or scoring) SD QSO Party will be held on New Years EVE 2009, for those wishing to simply check in and talk to old friends and socialize.
Special band activity times: SD stations are encouraged to spend some time on 20 meters in the afternoon to work DX stations seeking SD counties. SD stations are encouraged to use the ARRL LOTW systems, or be ready for a lot of QSL card requests! Add some great South Dakota counties into your County Hunter log during the South Dakota QSO Party.
Tilt-N-Raise and South Dakota QSO Party
The use of the Tilt-N-Raise antenna mount in the South Dakota QSO Party event is a great idea. You can use the Tilt-N-Raise to get your antenna up in short order and then you can concentrate on getting the rest of your gear operational. Think of the extra South Dakota counties you and your group (if you are in one) can have in the logs. The antenna is a major part of an amateur radio station operating in South Dakota QSO Party and the last thing you need to worry about is whether the antenna will stay upright during the South Dakota QSO Party. If you have yet to buy a Tilt-N-Raise then just use our link to order a Tilt-N-Raise for yourself, then you can rest easy while working the South Dakota QSO Party or any other radio event.
