ARRL Field Day is one of the most popular on-the-air operating events in amateur radio today. No worries about remembering the date as Field Day is always held on the fourth full weekend in June. During this weekend there will be tens of thousands of amateur radio operators gathered together for a public demonstration of our service. Although Field Day is very competitive, it is not a contest (even though there are awards for winning your class, etc.). The truth is that Field Day is a little educational event, a little operating event, a little public relations event but most of all it is a fun event.
Field Day is a great opportunity when we can bring amateur radio to the attention of the general public. Using locations such as parking lots, malls, Emergency Operations Centers, parks and even at home, we amateur operators develop or fine tune operating skills allowing us to better serve our neighbors.

Tilt-N-Raise and ARRL Field Day

The use of the Tilt-N-Raise antenna mount in the ARRL Field Day event is a great idea. You can use the Tilt-N-Raise to get your antenna up in short order and then you can concentrate on getting the rest of your gear operational. Think of the extra ARRL Sections you and your group (if you are in one) can have in the logs. The antenna is a major part of an amateur radio station operating in ARRL Field Day and the last thing you need to worry about is whether the antenna will stay upright during the ARRL Field Day. If you have yet to buy a Tilt-N-Raise then just use our link to order a Tilt-N-Raise for yourself, then you can rest easy while working the ARRL Field Day or any other radio event.
